A passion for design has led Ann-Marie Mountford-Chu through the path of fashion, her seasoned experience in many fields of the Fashion Industry has made her one of the most prominent creative leads for Footwear and Accessory Design.

Born and raised in the UK, Ann-Marie graduated Amersham College of Art & Design (now Brunel University) with a degree in Textile Design, and worked as a Fashion Print Designer and Illustrator in London before moving to New York. On arrival, she continued creating Textile Designs in a variety of media and experimental techniques, by hand, at a highly creative British run studio before transitioning in house to larger American brands.

Having held Textile Design positions at both Ralph Lauren and Adrienne Vittadini, Ann-Marie then settled at Polo where she spent five years cultivating her design skills across Womens and Mens Soft Accessories as well as Mens Bags for Collection, Purple Label, Polo RL Blue Label and Polo Sport. This responsibility allowed her to understand how to detail quality, construction and finishing according to price targets from opening price point to luxury, tailoring the styling to the leading lifestyle brands' various in-house Labels.

American Eagle Outfitters followed Ralph Lauren, where Ann-Marie switched back into the womens design world to lead the footwear team - a passion was born!  She went on to lead two womens footwear brands at The Jones Group – launching Jones New York footwear and building @Joan & David, before taking on executive leadership of Womens Footwear at Cole Haan, utilizing a variety of Nike technology platforms in Sport, Casual and Dress Footwear – Air, Lunar and later, ZeroGrand.

Since 2015 Ann-Marie has been consulting for various American clients and avidly pursuing a passion for art and illustration. An offer in 2016, invited her to lend her valuable expertise to Nine West for a year, re-working the aesthetic of the dress business to be fashion relevant whilst developing and establishing a brand voice in casual and athletic classifications.

She continues her consulting and is excited to pursue new strategic and creative challenges.
